During 2026, we spent eight weeks staying at six different all inclusive resorts throughout Cancun. We began our eight week Cancun resort research project at Breathless Cancun Soul Resort & Spa, an adults only Hyatt Inclusive Collection property located at the northern end of Cancun's famous Hotel Zone. After arriving in the early morning hours following significant flight delays, we were more than ready for some relaxation. Fortunately, Breathless Cancun Soul made a strong first impression and quickly became a place we were happy to call home for the week.

The breakfast experience at Spoon quickly became one of our favorite parts of each day. Starting the morning with ocean views and a wide selection of options set a positive tone for the rest of our vacation. Equally impressive was the service provided by Picazo and Monica, who took exceptional care of us during both breakfast and lunch throughout our stay. Their friendly personalities and attentive service helped make each meal even more enjoyable.
One of the pleasant surprises of the resort was Silk City, the Asian specialty restaurant. The menu features a combination of Chinese and Thai inspired dishes, but the real highlight is the impressive sushi bar. With more than 24 varieties available and all included as part of the all inclusive experience, sushi lovers will have no shortage of options. We found ourselves returning more than once to sample different selections.
Our favorite dining venue, however, was Fish Nets. While it is known as the resort's seafood restaurant, some of our favorite meals came from the grill. The steaks were fantastic and cooked perfectly each time we visited. The homemade empanadas were another standout and quickly became one of our favorite appetizers on the property. If you dine here, ask to sit in Fernando's section. His service was first class and helped make every meal a memorable experience.
The resort's Mexican restaurant was also a solid choice and delivered many traditional favorites. For us, the tortilla soup was the highlight of the menu and is something we would absolutely order again.
The resort also offers numerous bars and lounges throughout the property. Whether you prefer a frozen drink by the pool served by Robinson, a cocktail with a sunset view, or an evening nightcap, there is rarely a shortage of options.
Entertainment and Atmosphere

This is not a quiet resort designed primarily for reading books by the pool, even though we managed to spend plenty of time doing exactly that.
